WOW! Celebrate Women of Worth

WOW Celebration

I want women who have been abused to learn to dream again.    - Judi Noble

Every woman is a woman of worth. God made her that way. Unfortunately, not every woman recognizes her worth to God. For a woman caught up in the violence and the cycle of domestic abuse, that vision of herself as a person of value is even more distant.

The idea for WOW, Women of Worth, came to Eagle's Wings founder, Judi Noble, a few weeks before Valentine's Day 2008. She wanted to create an event for women that was just a time of fun.

Dream Books: In Dreams Begin Our Possibilities

How could she help women whose trust had been so broken begin to dream again? Dream Books. Based on an experience she had had recently, Judi developed the idea of having each woman design her own Dream Book during the celebration.

As she visited local merchants and began to explain the idea for what she was trying to accomplish, something wonderful happened. They got it! More, they couldn't do enough to bless and support WOW and all the local Women of Worth.

What Are Your Egypts?

Leave this place, you and the people you brought up out of Egypt, and go up to the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, saying, "I will give it to your descendants."
- Exodus 33:1
It's not enough for women to create their Dream Books; they must release the "Egypts" that prevent them from walking confidently into their dreams. The WOW program helps participants identify their individual Egypts: fear, rejection, condemnation, shame, unforgiveness, and others. Then, we ask for a commitment, "Are you ready to leave Egypt?" It's important that they make the choice—and that they know they can. When they're ready, we invite them to cross over the river into their inheritance through a ceremony that is both beautiful and life-changing for attendees.

Choose Life

This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.

- Deut 30:19
WOW programs end with the encouragement to participants to "Choose Life," to choose to go up to the land of their dreams. We end the day by ministering to everyone who attends.

What's Next?

Women of Worth Small Groups continue meeting after the day of fun ends. We encourage all attendees to join these groups, which further equip them to build their dreams and walk away from the Eqypts in their lives, including domestic abuse.

Women of Worth Conferences

Eagle's Wings is receiving requests to expand this program for women's conferences. Stay tuned! If you want to be informed about upcoming WOW programs and conferences, please join our e-mail list.
